Frequently Asked Questions
Q.Does the price include set up and delivery?
A.Price includes setup, pickup, and liability coverage when the Protection Fee is selected. Delivery fees are calculated and applied at checkout. Please note that all prices are subject to applicable sales tax.
Q.Do you deliver to other cities?
A.Yes! We do travel outside our standard service area. Please note that travel fees may be higher due to rising fuel costs and, in some cases, the need for additional trucks and labor. For the most accurate pricing, please contact our office for a current travel quote.
Q.Does the standard 6 hour bounce house rental time include your set up time?
A.No. We arrive early to set up your rental, so your reserved rental time is dedicated entirely to your event. Setup is completed before your rental period begins, allowing you to enjoy every minute of your scheduled time.
Q.When do you set up?
A.Our arrival time depends on our delivery schedule for the day. In most cases, we arrive 1–3 hours before your rental begins to complete setup. On especially busy days, we may need to arrive up to 5 hours or more in advance. If an early setup is required, we'll contact you by the Thursday before your event to confirm that someone will be available at the party location. If you have a specified setup time please make a note in the note section provided while scheduling your booking.
Q.We've rented some really dirty bounce houses from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?
A.No. Your rental will arrive clean, sanitized, and ready to use. At 517 Bounce, we thoroughly clean and disinfect every inflatable after each rental using an all-natural, family-safe cleaning solution. We also clean, inspect, and sanitize every tent, table, chair, and concession machine before it is stored in our clean facility. Our commitment to cleanliness ensures your rental arrives in excellent condition and is ready for a safe, fun event.
Q.Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A.Yes. All inflatable units require a continuous power supply to stay inflated. A blower runs the entire time the unit is in use, and if it is unplugged or loses power, the inflatable will quickly deflate. For this reason, we require a dedicated electrical outlet within 100 feet of the setup location. If power is not available, a generator will be required.
Please note: 517 Bounce does not provide generators at this time. If you plan to use a generator, it must be capable of supplying at least 5,500 running watts and 7,000 starting watts to safely operate a single inflatable while following the recommended 80% continuous load rule.
To ensure safe and reliable operation, 517 Bounce provides heavy-duty extension cords. Please do not use your own extension cords, as undersized cords can overload circuits, reduce blower performance, and trip breakers damaging equipment.
Q.Can we setup at parks or other public locations?
A.Yes! We love setting up at parks and other public venues. However, before we can deliver and set up at a public location, YOU must obtain permission from the appropriate authority. This may include the city, county, property owner, apartment management, park administration, zoo, school, or other venue management. Proof of permission may be required before delivery.
For park rentals, the location must have access to electricity for the inflatable blower. If you're renting a water slide or any wet inflatable, the site must also have a water hookup available.
If electricity is not available, you will need to provide a generator. Please note that 517 Bounce does not provide generators at this time. Refer to our Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time? FAQ for the minimum generator size requirements needed to safely operate your inflatable.
If you're unsure whether your event location meets these requirements, feel free to contact us before booking. We're happy to help ensure your event goes smoothly!
Q.What payments do you take?
A.We accept cash and all major credit cards. A valid credit or debit card is required to reserve your rental, and the required deposit must be paid by card at the time of booking. A card must also remain on file for rental liability purposes. If you choose to pay the remaining balance in cash at delivery, please have the exact amount ready, as our delivery team does not carry cash or make change. Tips are never required but are always appreciated if you feel our team provided exceptional service!
Q.What if we need to cancel?
A.A minimum payment is required at checkout to reserve your rental. This payment is applied toward your total balance.
If you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled event, your minimum payment will be issued as a Rain Check, valid for one year from the original event date and redeemable toward a future rental.
If you cancel more than 7 days before your event, you may choose to receive a full refund of your minimum payment or have it issued as a Rain Check, valid for one year.
Please note: Rain Checks are non-transferable and may be applied to any available rental within the one-year redemption period.
Q.Do you require a deposit?
A.Yes all orders require a 35% Credit Card deposit. They are fully refundable if you cancel your order at least 8 days prior to your rental date. If you cancel between 2-7 days prior to your rental you will be given a rain check that is good for 1 year.
Q.How big are the bounce houses?
A.Most of our standard bounce houses have a 13' × 13' bouncing area. For example, combination units with slides, obstacle courses, and other larger inflatables require additional setup space. Please review the **Space Required** dimensions listed on each product page near the main photo before booking.
The listed dimensions include the extra clearance needed for safe installation, including stakes, the blower, and adequate space around the inflatable. Bounce houses should not be placed directly against walls, fences, trees, or other obstacles, as contact can damage the inflatable and create safety hazards.
If you're unsure whether your space is large enough, we recommend measuring your setup area before placing your order. If your setup location includes stairs, a tiered or sloped yard, or any other access challenges, please contact our office before booking so we can discuss the best setup options.
Q.What about the bigger bounce house combos, or water slides? Any special requirements?
A.Please review the setup requirements listed for each bounce house before booking. In addition, please ensure there is at least 4 feet of clear access to the setup area. Inflatable units can weigh up to 650 pounds, so our delivery team needs a safe, unobstructed path with enough room to move and position the equipment properly.
Q.What surfaces do you set up on?
A.We can set up on grass (our preferred surface and the best option for kids), asphalt, and concrete. Unfortunately, we cannot set up on rocks, gravel, or other uneven surfaces, as they can damage the inflatable and prevent a safe installation.
Q.Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?
A.Yes. There is a link in your receipt once you've ordered or you may contact our office.
Q.Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?
A.Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear that occurs from regular use of our rental equipment. Over time, seams and other high-traffic areas may show signs of wear from normal use. If you notice any damage or issues during your rental, please notify us immediately so we can inspect and address the situation.
However, you are responsible for any damage caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow our safety guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to: allowing too many jumpers in the unit at one time, exceeding the listed weight limits, allowing rough play or unsafe behavior, moving the inflatable, placing sharp objects or unsafe items inside the unit, failing to properly supervise participants, failing to turn off the blower during high winds or severe weather, or using the equipment in any way that is not consistent with our safety instructions.
Damage caused by improper use may result in charges for repairs or replacement of the inflatable, blower, or other equipment. Replacement costs can amount to thousands of dollars.
We want every rental to be safe, fun, and enjoyable for everyone. This is why we require all customers to review, sign, and initial our safety rules before use. These guidelines help ensure you have the information needed to be the responsible operator during your event and help protect both you and our equipment.
